Money leaving your account every month, and you never said yes?
That is a UPI AutoPay mandate. You approved it once, and it has been running quietly ever since. Here is how to find every one of them and stop it.
- 100% free
- Works with every UPI app
- No sign-up to read
Why this keeps happening
UPI AutoPay is convenient by design — and that is exactly the problem.
-
One approval, forever
You enter your UPI PIN once. After that the merchant can pull money on schedule without asking again, until the mandate's end date.
-
Free trials that never end
A trial you forgot about becomes a monthly charge. The mandate does not expire on its own when you stop using the service.
-
Scattered across apps
Mandates made in different apps show up in different places, so it is easy to miss the ones still running.
Cancel it manually — three steps
No app needed. This works in whichever UPI app you already use.
Open AutoPay in your UPI app
PhonePe: profile icon → Manage AutoPay. Google Pay: profile picture → Autopay. Paytm: profile → UPI Automatic Payments. BHIM: Mandate → My Mandates.
Find the mandate
You will see every active mandate on that bank account, with the merchant name and amount. Any UPI app linked to the account shows the same list.
Cancel or revoke
Tap the mandate, then Cancel or Revoke, and confirm. The debit stops immediately — no waiting period.
Want to see all of them in one place instead?
The free app shows every active auto-pay on your account together, so you do not have to check each app one by one.

Common questions
Why is money being deducted from my account without asking?
It is most likely a UPI AutoPay mandate. When you approve one with your UPI PIN, the merchant can pull money on a schedule without asking again. It keeps running until you cancel it.
Can I cancel a UPI mandate from any UPI app?
Yes. A mandate can be cancelled from any UPI app linked to the same bank account. It does not have to be the app where you created it.
Does cancelling a mandate also cancel the subscription?
No. Cancelling the mandate stops the payment, not the service. Cancel the subscription with the merchant separately, or dues may still build up.
Will cancelling a mandate affect my CIBIL score?
No, except for loan EMI mandates. A missed EMI does affect your credit score, so arrange another way to pay before cancelling an EMI mandate.
How long does it take for the debit to stop?
Immediately. Once the mandate is revoked there is no waiting period, and the merchant cannot pull money again.
