How to Delete a Dream11 Auto-Add-Money Mandate
Your wallet tops itself up before you have decided to play, and the bank SMS arrives at an odd hour. That is an auto-add-money mandate doing exactly what it was set up to do. Deleting a Dream11 auto-add-money mandate takes two minutes, but it needs two switches, not one.

Step 1: Revoke the mandate in your UPI app
Open any UPI app linked to that bank account — it need not be the app you approved it in — and find the section called AutoPay, Mandates or Automatic Payments. Locate the Dream11 entry and revoke it.
Not sure which entry it is? The post-transaction notification from the last top-up carries the merchant name, amount, date and time, transaction reference, e-mandate reference, the reason for the debit and grievance redressal details.
A mandate runs until its end date and does not quietly expire early — so if you never revoke it, it keeps working.
Step 2: Turn off recurring top-up inside Dream11
Revoking the mandate stops the money, but the setting inside the app can stay switched on, and it may then prompt you to set the auto top-up up again next time you add funds. In Dream11, go to the wallet or payment settings area and switch off auto add money / recurring top-up.
One plain observation, no lecture attached: automatic top-ups make it easy to spend more than you intended, and switching them off is a reasonable way to stay in control.
Worth knowing: the usual additional-factor threshold is ₹15,000 per transaction, so top-ups below that go through without a UPI PIN prompt — which is why they are easy to miss.
Step 3: What happens to the balance already in your wallet
It stays there. Revoking a mandate stops future top-ups; it does not touch money already added. Getting that balance back into your bank account is a separate withdrawal request through Dream11, and withdrawals are subject to KYC.
One important note
While you are in the AutoPay section, look at the full list — a forgotten auto-add mandate usually sits beside subscriptions you had also stopped thinking about. This is information, not financial advice; if a payment relates to a loan or investment, check with the provider before acting.
Short FAQ
Will my wallet balance disappear? No. It stays until you use or withdraw it.
Do I need to uninstall the app? No — revoking and switching off the setting is enough.
Revoke the mandate, then flip the setting off inside Dream11 so it cannot come back. Your balance stays where it is until you choose to withdraw it.
