How to view your active UPI subscription mandates (step-by-step)
Most people have no idea how many active UPI subscription mandates are sitting on their bank account right now. The list already exists inside your UPI app, two taps from the home screen. Nobody ever opens it.

Where the mandate list lives in each app
- PhonePe — open the app → tap the profile icon at the top-left → Manage AutoPay under the payment and settings section.
- Google Pay — open the app → tap your profile picture at the top-right → Autopay. Your active mandates load as a list.
- Paytm — open the app → profile icon → UPI Automatic Payments, or Settings → UPI & Payment Settings → Manage.
- BHIM — open the app → Mandate section → My Mandates.
- SBI users — YONO or BHIM SBI Pay → UPI Mandate → Approved/Active mandates.
What to actually read on each mandate
Open each entry and check five things: the merchant name, the amount, how often it repeats, the next debit date, and the end date. Also note the e-mandate reference number — you will need it if you ever raise a complaint.
If the mandate is a variable-amount one, it also shows the maximum ceiling per debit you set at approval. The merchant cannot charge above that ceiling, whatever the bill says.
The trick that saves you time
You do not need the app that created the mandate. Any UPI app linked to that bank account shows every mandate on it. So if you uninstalled the app where you subscribed, just open whichever UPI app you use daily.
If you hold more than one bank account, switch the linked account inside the app and check each separately — mandates are tied to the account.
One important note
Mandates do not quietly expire early — they run until their end date, so an app you deleted a year ago can still be charging you. And any single debit above ₹15,000 pauses for your UPI PIN under the AFA rule, except insurance premiums, mutual fund SIPs and credit card bill payments, which go up to ₹1,00,000 without it.
FAQ
Can I see mandates from an app I have uninstalled? Yes. Any UPI app linked to that bank account will list them.
Does opening or cancelling a mandate affect my credit score? No — unless it is a loan EMI mandate, where a missed EMI does hurt your score.
Conclusion
Checking your active mandates takes under two minutes and usually finds at least one debit you had forgotten. Make it a monthly habit, the way you check your balance.
